Integrated Resource Planning
In addition to participation in a variety of regional transmission and resource planning studies, Midwest Energy, Inc. has developed its own internal study process to plan for the development of electric energy resources. This Integrated Resource Plan examines the expected changes in demand for electric energy and capacity, combinations of generated and purchased resources to meet the expected demand, the utilization of renewable or alternative resources, and the impact of various demand response resources to reduce or delay the need for additional generating resources.
This Integrated Resource Plan is updated approximately every three years, with the most recent update completed in December 2009. A copy of the Executive Summary, the complete Integrated Resource Plan Report, and the Appendices referenced in the Report can be found at the links below.
